To meet customer needs, the Research and Development laboratories at Polioles focus on four main areas:

 

Development of New Products

The R&D staff have experience in different disciplines and sub-disciplines of chemistry and physical chemistry to establish synthetic routes that lead to the development of new products of interest to our customers and market needs.

 

Chemical Analysis

The extensive infrastructure of the R&D laboratories at Polioles allows for the development of robust analytical methodologies to qualify and quantify parameters of interest in all our products, including chemical functionalities and compliance with international regulations.

 

Study of Applications

Our products are evaluated by modulating or modifying different quantifiable parameters to simulate the conditions of performance or application. This aims to demonstrate that our portfolio responds suitably to the expectations of our customers.

 

Development of Formulations

One of the most specialized applications of our materials lies in the formulation of additives for the production of crude oil. In our laboratories, new formulations are designed and the physio-chemical characteristics that determine their good performance as demulsifiers, desalters, flow improvers, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, among others, are examined. We also offer the market new sustainable alternatives using more environmentally friendly chemical products.

 

Hydraulic fluid laboratory

 

The hydraulic fluids laboratory has been accredited under the NMX-EC-17025-IMNC standard (ISO / IEC17025) since 1995. It is located inside the Lerma plant, State of Mexico. Since it was set up and accredited, its principal purpose has been to support the brake fluid market, contributing together with the clients to the certification processes of these products.

 

 

Scope of accreditation

The Hydraulic Fluids Laboratory is authorized to offer the testing service in accordance with NOM-113-SCFI-1995 and the international standard FMVSS 116, issuing results reports used by clients in the process of certification of a brake fluid brand with the certifying body.

 

Regulatory Framework

The federal government through the Ministry of Economy grants powers to the Entidad Mexicana De Acreditación, A.C. to endorse the technical competence of our laboratory in the tests established in NOM-113-SCFI-1995, enabling the results reports to be recognized by the brake fluid certification bodies.
